The Albanian footballer, Granit Xhaka, was today announced as the best player of 2022 by the Swiss Football Federation.
Xhaka had excellent performances with the Swiss national team at the World Cup and beyond – as well as with his club, Arsenal.
After winning this award, he expressed his happiness as he thanked several people.
“Thank you very much for everything. Thanks to the coach, my family and all the people who believed in me. But also for the people who didn’t believe in me. They always pushed me”, says the captain of the national team into the microphone.
About his situation at Arsenal he says: “Three years ago I was at the bottom at Arsenal and now I’m here at the top of the table. The award means a lot to me.”
