Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, had a brief conversation with the Brazilian media prior to tonight’s Champions League match against Copenhagen.

The manager was questioned by TNT Sports journalist Fred Caldeira on if being eliminated from the competition is a “acceptable reality” given the Red Devils’ precarious standing in the competition as they are currently last in Group A.

Ten Hag took particular to emphasize that no one at Manchester United has even thought of such a thing.

“I don’t think in such scenarios,” Erik ten Hag told TNT Sports./winorlose

“We’re confident, we have a strong belief and we go in this game, as in every game, knowing we have to win this game and then we look where we are.”

In addition, TNT Sports questioned whether Casemiro had fully recovered from the injury he had while competing for his country. While alleging that the midfielder is missing, Ten Hag would not confirm it and stated that he is more concerned with the group he currently has.

“You will always miss Casemiro when he’s not there. He’s a balanced player, he’s an organiser. In possession, his contribution is so huge, you always will miss him.

“But it’s not about the players who are missing, we miss more players, but it’s about the players who are there and they have to do the job.”

Manchester United lost to Galatasaray 3-2 at Old Trafford before falling to Bayern Munich 4-3 in the opening round of the Champions League. Now, playing Copenhagen at home appears to be the only chance to turn things around and remain competitive./WINORLOSE/
