David Ornstein has reported in The Athletic today that Gabriel Martinelli has decided to sign a new contract with Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.

The journalist has claimed that Martinelli has agreed a new contract with Arsenal until the summer of 2027.
Ornstein has added that “the draft deal is in the process of being finalised”.
In our view, Gabriel Martinelli signing a new contract with Arsenal is absolutely great news for Arsenal.
Martinelli is one of the best young forwards in the world, and there is no surprise that the Brazil international has been linked with Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.
French outlet Media Foot have reported that defending Ligue 1 champions PSG are keen on signing Martinelli.
PSG forward Neymar reportedly wants his Brazil international teammate at the French club.
SPORT have reported interest in Martinelli from former La Liga and UEFA Champions League winners Barcelona, while The Daily Mail claimed in October that Chelsea are keeping tabs on the 21-year-old Arsenal forward.
Now, Arsenal were never really going to sell the 21-year-old anytime soon, and that they have handed a new deal shows just how much they rate and value him.
Arsenal are at the top of the Premier League table at the moment and could win the title this season.
For that to happen, Martinelli will have to stay on top of his game throughout.
