Chelsea manager, Graham Potter is very mad with his homologous, Mikel Arteta from Arsenal. The reason is january transfer window.
Chelsea and Arsenal have nearly the same targets to transfer.
Potter and Arteta, both wants Atletico Madrid striker, Joao Felix.
Chelsea manager is not happy with Aubameyang and Arteta needs a new striker after Jesus’s injury.
A multitude of transfer suitors including Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United have been put on red alert over Joao Felix.
Standard Sport understands that Atletico Madrid have placed an £86million (€100m) price tag on the 23-year-old forward, who has helped Portugal reach the quarter-finals of the World Cup in Qatar in style.
Felix looks poised to leave the Wanda Metropolitano after his relationship with manager Diego Simeone broke down, with club CEO Gil Marin having claimed this week that a January exit was “reasonable” to expect.
The player also appeared to aim a not-so-subtle dig at his club manager after registering two assists in Portugal’s sparkling 6-1 thrashing of Switzerland in the last-16 on Tuesday.
“The way you play here and at the club are different,” he said. “When the conditions are favourable, things go better.”
But, Felix is not the only player that they are battling. Inter defender, Denzel Dumfries is another targer for both coaches.
Reece James injury made Chelsea to look for another right-back. Arteta is not very happy with Tomiyasu so he is playing Ben White in his place. But Arteta wants a real right-back.
USA midfielder, Yunus Musah is another target for both teams.
90min has claimed that Valencia has opened contract talks with Musah to fend off interest. The outlet also says that a trio of Premier League giants are circling the American midfielder. Chelsea and Liverpool have supposedly contacted Musah’s representatives, while Arsenal have reportedly sent scouts to his World Cup matches.
Potter is very mad because of this. He hopes to beat Arsenal in mercato.
