According to Goal Brazil, Marquinhos has surprised everyone at Arsenal since his arrival from Sao Paulo in the summer transfer window.

The 19-year-old joined the Gunners in a £3 million (Goal) deal in June. Everyone expected him to go out on loan, but the teenager may now become a star for the Gunners.

Marquinhos has surprised people at Arsenal

Since his arrival from Sao Paulo, Marquinhos has mostly trained with Arsenal’s senior squad. Arteta even took him on the club’s pre-season tour of the United States, which showed a lot of faith.

The report claims that Marquinhos has been a surprise to many at Arsenal. It has been claimed that he has even exceeded Arteta’s expectations, especially after his truly sensational debut against FC Zurich last week.

Marquinhos was given his first Arsenal start in the Europa League in Switzerland, and he was arguably the best player on the pitch. He scored the opener and assisted Eddie Nketiah’s winner in what was a phenomenal display.

Arsenal fans want to see more of Marquinhos now, but the report claims that the Gunners are considering sending him away on loan in January.

However, at this moment in time, it has been revealed that ‘Marquinhos is treated like a gem’ by everyone at Arsenal, and that seems to have helped him settle in quickly.

If Arsenal really are looking to loan Marquinhos out in January, they will have to bring in another wide player.

Bukayo Saka is Arteta’s first-choice right-winger, and that’s not going to change. However, after Nicolas Pepe’s departure in the summer, young Marquinhos and Reiss Nelson are the only alternate options in that position.

That, on its own, is a huge risk considering how inexperienced Marquinhos and Nelson are, but if Arteta decides to send the Brazilian out on loan and not replace him, it could really cost the Gunners.

It will be interesting to see what happens with Marquinhos in January, but if the teenager keeps performing as he did against Zurich, Arteta will have no choice but to keep hold of him.
