A look at the players Arsenal are being tipped to sign in the January transfer window by the bookmakers.

Arsenal enjoyed an exciting summer transfer window, spending significantly to improve their squad.

The likes of Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko were snapped up, with Mikel Arteta and Edu commissioning deals totalling well over £100million.

So far, the deals are paying off, with Arsenal sitting top of the premature Premier League table heading into this weekend.

Arteta’s men have impressed, and Jesus, in particular, is really catching the eye, scoring three and assisting as many.

Arsenal fans will, no doubt, feel as though their squad is significantly stronger this season, but there are still gaps.

The Gunners have a particularly thin-looking midfield, and that’s something Arteta and Edu reognised in the summer, submitting a late bid for Douglas Luiz.

But they saw their bid rejected, and they decided not to pursue a cut-price deal for Youri Tielemans, who was heavily linked.

In January, Arsenal could revisit the situation, and with that in mind, we have taken a look at the players bookmakers Sky Bet think the Gunners could sign in January.

Douglas Luiz – 5/1

It’s no surprise to see Luiz as the favourite to join Arsenal, given that failed bid in the summer window.

As things stand, Luiz is out of contract next summer, so Villa could sell him to avoid missing out on a fee altogether.

Arsenal could take advantage of that situation, but some fans showed concern over the late move for the Brazilian.

Youri Tielemans – 6/1
Tielemans is in a very similar situation to Luiz, and he could also be sold in January for the same reason.

The Belgian is a sought-after talent, and he has been linked with a move to Arsenal for some time.

It will be interesting to see if anything comes off in the winter.

Wilfried Zaha – 10/1
Zaha is another player who has been linked with Arsenal for some time.

The winger has remained loyal to Crystal Palace since returning from Manchester United, but there is a feeling he may want the chance to win as he moved into the back-end of his career.

Arsenal could take advantage, but this would be a very expensive deal to pull off in January.

Jude Bellingham – 20/1
The longshot is Bellingham, who will almost certainly not be sold this season.

Borussia Dortmund have already sold Erling Haaland this season, and Bellingham is not going to be allowed to leave.

Even next summer, it’s going to require a huge fee to get Bellingham from Dortmund.
