According to reports, Arsenal are showing interest in signing Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo. The report also claims that the midfielder is open to a possible January transfer move. However, the midfielder is not going to force a move out in the January transfer window. Brighton are also not in a hurry to sell him in the January transfer window. The report also claims that the Gunners are also open to a next summer transfer window.
However, they are also monitoring a possible deal in the January transfer window. Although, Arsenal have not made a bid for him yet. They have also not yet opened discussions on personal terms. Hence, the interest is not advanced. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romanohas also said that he expects the Caicedo situation to heat up in the last days of the January transfer window. However, he has also claimed that Brighton will only sell him if they have an extraordinary bid and a replacement ready to arrive.
Chelsea will likely move for Caicedo again, whether that is during this window or in the summer, remains to be seen. The Blues will likely target players such as Declan Rice as well as the London club continue their impressive spending spree.
The Premier League club are, however, open to selling Ecuador international in the summer and have placed a massive valuation of £100m on the player’s head to turn the bigger clubs off making move.
With regards to Liverpool, this has worked, as according to Kevin Palmer, Liverpool are now out of the race for Caicedo due to the large fee involved in the transfer.
