Kylian Mbappe sensationally wants to leave Paris Saint-Germain in January, despite signing a lucrative new contract in the summer.
That’s according to Spanish outlet, Marca. They claim the relationship between Mbappe and PSG is “completely broken” and there is “no turning back.”
Mbappe feels PSG have “betrayed” him.
After the club’s 0-0 draw with Reims last weekend, the French striker appeared to take a dig at the manager, Christophe Galtier’s tactics.
But if you thought that a move to Real Madrid – who were heavily linked with the Frenchman – last summer is a formality then you’re very much mistaken.
That’s because the report suggests that PSG have an ‘anywhere but Real Madrid’ mentality when it comes to Mbappe.
PSG president Nasser Al Khelaifi has an unsavoury relationship with Real Madrid chief Florentino Perez which wasn’t helped by the saga between the two clubs over Mbappe in the summer. They also had very contrasting views regarding the European Super League.
So, if not Real Madrid then who?
Well, according to Marca, the only club PSG would “open the doors for” is Liverpool.
Jurgen Klopp’s side did attempt to sign Mbappe last summer but couldn’t compete with the financial strength of Real Madrid and PSG. Arsenal could be in the race too, but they need to do a great offer to PSG and Mbappe. So there is a chance, but Arsenal need to have money.
